Interpreters


If you have a hearing at the Circuit Court for Carroll County for which either a spoken language interpreter or sign language interpreter is needed, please follow the directions as set forth below:

Spoken Language:

To request a spoken language interpreter, please fill out a Request For Spoken Language Interpreter form and submit the completed form to the Carroll County Circuit Court Clerk's Office. Requests for interpreters should be received by the Clerk’s Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled trial/hearing date. If you fail to appear in court and have not notified the Clerk’s Office in writing at least two (2) business days prior to the trial/hearing date, you may be charged for the services of the interpreter.

Sign Language Interpreter:

To request a sign language interpreter, please fill out a Request for Accommodation By Persons With Disabilities form and submit the completed form to the Carroll County Circuit Court Clerk's Office. Requests for interpreters should be received by the Clerk’s Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled trial/hearing date. If you fail to appear in court and have not notified the Clerk’s Office in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the trial/hearing date, you may be charged for the services of the interpreter.
